Finishing a picture or a video yourself, and the chat in a workflow.

The two editors

Finishing a picture or a video by hand is kept apart from a block that does it the same way on every run.

In the menu: your own files, by hand

The Picture editor and the Video editor work on files of your own, outside any workflow. Say what you want, as you would to a person — “make it 15 seconds and add subtitles” — and watch the agent make the change with the editor’s own tools. What it changed can be taken back, or changed again by hand.

Inside a workflow: Picture editor

Changes a picture without repainting it: its size, its background, a shadow, its colours, and words and brand pictures laid over it. Every picture that arrives is given the same look, for free. Told what to do, a writer model edits each one on every run.

Inside a workflow: Video editor

Joins clips with narration and music into one video, for free. Told what to do, a writer model edits them on a timeline on every run: the order, the trims, titles and subtitles.

Its Layout opens a gallery, upright videos and wide ones apart, each layout with a short video of itself. It arranges what is wired in the same way on every run, with no model. A dot the layout does not read rests and keeps its wire. The layouts, by the gallery's names:

  • Clips one after another: Every clip plays whole, filling the frame, one after another. It reads “clips”.
  • You below, content above: A tall video in two halves: what you are talking about on top, you underneath. It reads “footage above”, “you on camera”.
  • You in a corner: The clips fill the frame, as a screen recording does, with you in a circle in the corner. It reads “screen recording”, “you on camera”.
  • Your camera in a corner: The clips fill the frame, as a screen recording does, with you in a box at the top left, the way a reaction video shows its camera. It reads “screen recording”, “you on camera”.
  • You and your clips take turns: The picture changes every few seconds: your clips, your clips with you in a corner, then you, in turn. For a video that tells how you made something. It reads “clips, one a step”, “you on camera”, “words said”.
  • Blurred background, pictures popping up: The clips play blurred and dimmed behind; pictures pop up over them one at a time while a voice explains. It reads “background”, “pictures”, “narration”.
  • Story over footage: Footage plays sharp across the whole frame, with what is said over it in big words. A screen recording looks better on the blurred background. It reads “footage”, “narration”, “words said”.
  • Pictures as cards, with a tag: Each picture is a card on a plain dark ground while its line is said, with its number at the top left. It reads “pictures”, “narration”.

Describe the video you want, and the chat in a workflow, offer the same layouts by the same names.

The chat in a workflow

In a workflow, the chat changes the workflow itself when you ask: it adds blocks, wires them, renames them and changes their settings, and each change shows on the canvas at once and is taken back by Undo. Nothing is run from it, and a run nobody is watching has no conversation in it: each block does what it is told. Cutting a video or touching up a picture by hand stays in the menu's two editors.
